Blackburn News discusses how a local team, the Raging Dragons, will represent the municipality of Chatham-Kent at the debut event of ice dragon boat racing at the Ottawa Ice Dragon Boat Festival on February 17 – 18, 2017. The sold-out event is being held together with Canada 150 on the Rideau Canal Skateway.
Preparations by the team of 14 (mixed men and women) include practicing paddling at the local indoor swimming pool to build up strength and endurance.
