CTV News Ottawa interviewed Antony Cooper, Director of Operations and Marketing and CEO John Brooman from the Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival following practices today for the first ever Ice Dragon Boat Festival that will be held tomorrow February 18, 2017 at Dows Lake on the Rideau Canal Skateway. Partnering with Winterlude festivities, 60 teams will hit the ice in modified dragon boats and modified paddles to propel their boats in 200 races beginning at 11:00 a.m.
Opening ceremonies start at 10:30 a.m. following a traditional Chinese Lion Dance. An awards ceremony will follow the races.
