Midweek Radio.com is a show produced by and featuring students from the Carleton University School of Journalism. On February 8, 2017 they interviewed Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival CEO John Brooman about a new event coming on February 17 & 18, 2017 – the Ottawa Ice Dragon Boat Festival. A first for North America and the largest international ice dragon boat racing event ever held. Registration sold out in minutes bringing a total of 60 teams of paddlers to the Rideau Canal Skateway at Dows Lake.
The event is being held as part of Ottawa’s 150 Anniversary Celebration with Winterlude 2017.
